Mercedes Benz C250 owners have reported 4 problems related to tire bubble (under the tire category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tire brand: sumitomo tire line: htr a/s p02 tire size: 225/40r18 92w component: bubble in tread area, not sidewall dot number: lm6r2916 and lm6r2416 two front tires were puchased new from amazon. Com in may of 2017 and were immediately installed and put into sevice. There were approxiamately 30k miles on the tires. The first front tire failed in July of 2020 (lm6r2916) and the second front tire failed in April of 2021 (lm6r2416). No specific events led to the failure of each tire and ocrrued during normal driving. The first tire started making a weird wobbling noise at highway speeds. Inspection reavealed on large bubble on the inner portion of the tread. The second tire failure occurred after strange noises as if a rock was stuck in the tire. Inspection revealed a small bubble forming on the inner tread. All four tires were replaced. A warranty claimed was attempted with sumitomo. They refused to honor a warranty and told me the vendor would take care of the warranty claim. Amazon. Com refunded the purchase price.

Continental conti pro contact tires with approx. 12,500 miles on them when the problem was discovered has a bubble on the sidewall. The bubble is within a quarter of an inch to the rim. Continental is turning a deaf ear to this matter. The first and only thing they are saying is it is from a pothole. These tires showed virtually very little wear. I stay on ytop of my vehicles care and always have the proper inflation. As well as high speed balancing done in order to prolong the life of them. My cars front tires are a different size than the rear tires, therefore they cannot be rotated. Hence the reason I stay on top of the proper inflation and balancing. This vehicle does not get driven in the snow. I avoid potholes like the plague. I have hit more pot holes with my other car and there are no bubbles on them which are pirelli tires. I am 61 years old and have owned a lot of vehicles and have never had a bubble on a tire! tires with much higher mileage on them. These tires did not need replacing because the tread wear was excellent. However, I no longer feel that the vehicle is safe with these tires. Yesterday I replaced them with a competitors brand. I wrote to continental and included pictures, the response I received back was very lame. From what I have read there seems to be a growing list of complaints about continental tires. I hope that the problems people are experiencing are looked into before something awful could happen.

This is in regards to the continental conti pro contact tires being defective. I have 2 tires that were on my cpo 2014 Mercedes Benz that I purchased a few months ago that have developed bubbles in the sidewall from no impact. I put less than 9,000 miles before the defect surfaced. My dealership says that they aren't warranted or defective? this is an extreme safety hazard and a car that my family drives daily. I have started contact directly with continental.

I bought a 2014 C250 mercedes with continental tires dot: hw4tnxh61413 in November of 2013. Two of the four tires continue to lose tire pressure and have developed side wall bubbles. The car is driven daily and has 20,000 miles on it.
