1 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Mercedes Benz C280. The contact stated that while driving a highway rate of speed, there was a drastic reduction in speed with no warning, the rpms raced and the accelerator pedal was not responding. The contact had to apply force to the accelerator pedal to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road, turn off the vehicle and restart the vehicle each time the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the automatic transmission needed to be replaced, the transmission shaft, the springs, the internal speed sensor and also that the cam shaft needed to be re-adjusted into the correct positioning. The contact was not able to drive the vehicle in this condition. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.

2 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2010

2007 Mercedes Benz class was parked for 1 hour in parking lot and it spontaneously caught fire. Dealership said it was caused by abs system engaging while parked and not disengaging, or it started in harness or module.

3 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 12/25/2008

The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes Benz C280. While driving 45 mph the vehicle stalled without prior warnings. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, and he was informed that the failure was due to an electrical problem. The current and failure mileages were 19000.
