Two problems related to front seat heater/cooler have been reported for the 2007 Mercedes Benz C280. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was driving to work when I smelled heavy burning and my seat became extremely hot. I turned off the seat warmer which at the time was on medium setting and since I could not stop safely, I continued to drive until I was able to stop. I then checked my seat and thats when I saw the heater had burnt a hole through the seat and also burnt my sweater. I have since then learnt there is a lawsuit on other same year models by the same manufacturer and hope my incident will raise awareness that this might be an issue that touches more models than mentioned in the lawsuit.
The seat heater/warmer burned a hole on the driver's side leather seat.
