Air Bag Problems of Mercedes Benz C280

My mercedes has never been recalled for the takata air bag recall and now I have a warning about the srs, supplemental restraint system. What ever happened to vehicles having replacement air bags??.

Srs light went on. Restraint malfunction message flashed across screen. Code reader pulls up dealer recall for driver airbag possibly exploding due to build up of pressure. My VIN is not included and dealer will not honor. Stuck with unsafe car or huge expense out of pocket.

On 9/18/23 we were hit head on by a person driving a large Ford. The air bags deployed on my cclass. I was unable to see after the accident. My nose is huge! face is bruised. I had sever eye pain. Neck pain etc. There was crome on the floor after the deployment. Major concern what was in this airbag. However, I’m sure it saved my life. My car is totaled. It was a fabulous car. We had scheduled a sunroof recall next week at mercedes in new london, CT. I learned of this recall after my car recently past emissions. My car only had 39,000 miles. I’m going to miss it.

My 1996 mercedes-benz C280 is leaking oil and radiator cap(expansion trank cap replacement cooling system flush thermostat replacement because my antifreeze coolant is running out on me faster than ever,module is year affected and it needs a value job and it needs a head gasket.

I heard there is a recall on my C280 mercedes air bags.

Tamara recall I have not been notified if my vehicle is included in the latest airbag recalls. Howeher, the srs light remains constant and my steering wheel controls don't work as well as wipers. At the time I heard a loud pop in car it was stationary at a gas station.

The contact owns a 1995 Mercedes Benz C280. While driving 35 mph, the contact heard a loud noise followed by the deployment of both frontal air bags. The windshield was smashed and the passenger sustained a bruised arm due to the impact. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 178,000.

Takata recall, received letter from Mercedes Benz saying I will receive a voucher for new airbags gratis but they do not know when. I hope I live long enough. Takata will obviously go bankrupt before they complete obligations for 54 million airbags. . . Disgusted customer.

The contact owns a 2006 mercedes-benz C280. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph and the vehicle in front stopped as a result the contact rear-ended the vehicle. The contact stated that the front passenger and driver's side deployed with excessive force. The contact stated that the front driver's side and passenger side headrest restraint air bags were deployed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic that replaced the sunroof however, the failure cause was not diagnosed. The contact stated that she believes the sunroof failure was due to the excessive force of the air bag deployment. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
