"takata recall" when I was driving after a oil change, I heard a noise that sounded like someone hit my car. I was scared and shaky so I pulled over could see anything but I heard a ticking noise. Then I realized the head rest Mini air bag blew up and the wiring inside the head rest was burning. This happened while I was driving. I could have got into an accident. I had to pull over right where all the traffic was because my hands were shaking and I didn't know what to do with the burning smell. I had my hazards on and people went around me. Then all kinds of alerts went off on my car. I only had it for a year and a half it shouldn't do that. Something is really wrong and this is dangerous while someone is driving. My tires and all of a sudden the muffler is making noises now too what is going on with this car. It's treated well I'm scared to drive it now. I'm still making payments on it. It's was for me fairly new and still good, do I thought. I'm very disappointed and need some answers. I was told that maybe it's the eps control unit but haven't went to mercedes dealer yet because I'm discouraged about this car and I haven't been feeling good.

Passenger seat air bag. The passenger seat air bag was replaced the end of October and now 4 months later it is doing the same thing over again. I own a 2009 mercedez c-300 which had a airbag recall this year. I took it to mercedez benz in little silver, NJ to get airbag recall issue taken care of on September 25th 2018. My son got into a motorvehicle accident and thank goodness he was not injured. The airbad didn't deploy and he could have been killed. Lord, only knows how many other drivers are out there with same issue and maybe with not the same luck.

Your reports say that the dealers have all the parts needed. I called Mercedes Benz in calabasas and they say that the replacement air bags are being released for only certain models at this time and they don't have the replacement part for my model and don't know when they will receive it.
Takata recall - nothing has happened yet. I think they have had ample time to remedy the airbags though and have not.

Takata recall - my mercedes dealer is indicating there is no product available to fix my car. The program estimates for timing of replacements are no longer accurate. When will my car get fixed and is mercedes assuming all safety liability for their sub contractor failure? every day this car is driven by my daughter is a safety risk to her. How is NHTSA providing enforcement pressure against mercedes?.
Takata recall. It has been since 2016 that there are safety issues with this model srs for mb, when will a solution become available to consumers. I do not want something to happen to me or a family member because of the slow or no response in remedying this problem.
Takata recall I am very concerned on my commutes to and from work with my C300 vehical. I have escalated and complained to Mercedes Benz corp in early 2017 over the remediation of my takata airbags being in a humid and hot high risk zone. They only recently 2017 acknowledge the remediation issue and sent a letter to my home in Dec 2017 about being in prioty group 4 and that NHTSA recently granted an extension on remediation for having parts till March 31 2018. Today is April 10, 2018 and I have recieved no letters from mb corp on any updates. I did recieve a letter from autonation today indicating to call my local mb delearship to verify open recall, check if part available, or need to be ordered. I called the local delearship and they stated that they are aware of the letter but have no clue as to what it was about. They stated that my recall is still pending and they are unsure of when parts will be available. When asked about the passed deadline for parts of March 31 2018 they indicated to follow up with mb corporate. I did follow up with mb corporate to get any updates but they have automated messages to customers to check on website. When you check website recall says pending. So far mb corp is passed their extended remediation date of March 31 2018 given to them by NHTSA. They have provided no updates to me as a customer of when or why parts are not ready. I find all this very unacceptable as a customer driving a car that I can not resale to another person putting them at risk. Should anything happen to me I will ensure that my family seeks accountabilty from all responsible people involved in the remediation of these airbags for mb corportate. Please enforce stricter regulatgions on mb corp to comply on remediation on high risk cars now. Not my first safety report recorded with NHTSA. Gov.

Takata recall. I have contacted the mercedes dealer in warwick, ri several times since the recalls were issued but the answer is always "we're waiting for parts. " these airbags are critical safety items. If takata cannot keep up with demand then mercedes itself should manufacture and install the airbags. Waiting for people to be killed by them is criminal.

I contacted Mercedes Benz concerning the recall and they are unable to resolve the issue due to the parts not being in. I understand this is a national recall and it will take time to get the parts in. However, I do not feel comfortable driving my vehicle when this recall has been linked to deaths. Mercedes refuses to do anything in the meantime, because they have not had any reports of injury. Bottom line is I feel at risk driving my vehicle while the airbags are defective!.
Received airbag driver and passenger-side recalls in June 2006 and August 2016 and the action to replace airbags is still pending. Not acceptable that it takes years to close out a recall especially when there is risk for injury or death associated with existing airbags in my vehicle.
Takata recall. Originally notified of recall in 2016. Three times told replacement airbag not in stock. Dealership is walters, riverside, CA. Li believe I am getting the run around. Can you help?.

Takata recall - I have been waiting almost 2 years for the local dealer to obtain the parts to perform the recall work. Recently, the dealer called to say that the parts finally became available, but then called back to say that they did not have the parts because they were already gone.
Takata recall. The dealer in my area has not contacted me for a repair.
Takata recall - no fix but keep sending notices that it will cause fatal injuries. Mercedes knew these were defective and used them anyway, along with a lot of other manufacturers. They should be buying these vehicles back if there in not an option to repair a "safe" car that can be fatal if your "safety" airbags deploy.
This airbag recall has been in effect for over two years and local dealerships still do not have a replacement part. I feel unsafe and frustrated.
Takata recall - nhsta recall number 16v081 and 17v017 and nhsta recall number 15v711 regarding the srs control model. I have received several notices of these 3 very dangerous and urgent recalls. My vehicle is subject to these recalls and no remedy has been provided for all. I have contacted the manufacturer and Mercedes Benz dealership to have these recalls fixed, but I am told they have no parts to fix the recall, no remedy has been provided and there is nothing they can do to address the recalls - meanwhile, I am at risk every time I get behind the wheel and continue to receive notices about how dangerous this recall can be, life threatening. Now takata is filing bankruptcy and it has been years since the recalls were issued - why is there no remedy available to fix this? no dealership will address the issues, it in just an on going, never ending game. I want to know how I can fix my defective car before my wife, children, or myself are injured or killed due to the severity of this specific recall.
Takata recall- mercedes states they still have no replacement airbag for my vehichle.
I have an airbag defective, I have received the notice by mail to change for free the airbag but every dealer that I have contacted don't have receive any part for this replacement. So what can I do?.
