Subframe/mounting Bracket problems of the 2009 Mercedes Benz C300

The contact owns a 2009 mercedes-benz C300. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle swayed on the roadways. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the rear subframe was corroded and needed to be replaced. The mechanic contacted the dealer to order the replacement part and was informed by the dealer that there was a recall for the subframe; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
