Ignition Anti-theft Control Module problems of the 2014 Mercedes Benz C300

The contact owns a 2014 mercedes-benz C300w4. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired for an unidentified NHTSA campaign number however, it failed to prevent a failure from occurring. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the steering wheel would lock and not steer left or right. No warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic steering lock and the trp needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.
