Leaving my home from my driveway and driving about 15 feet I heard a loud pop from my backseat area and noticed my headrest on drivers side deployed without any reason. The airbag right/left malfunction light showed on my dash saying service required. Mercedes benz dealership said they never heard of this. The dealership removed old headrest and replaced with a new one , reset malfunction light and a fuse. Price was enormous.

While I was driving, my seat back suddenly started reclining backward. I could not make the seat stop or go forward with pushing the power seat button control. It kept reclining back, pushing into the back seat and would not stop until there was no power left. Had my child been in the seat behind me, instead of behind the passenger seat, her legs would have been crushed. I took it to a vehicle repair shop and they were able to manually put the seat back to an upright position. I have not let my child ride in the back seat after that incident yet. I just dropped the car off to the mercedes service department near me.

Power seat button failed.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the front passenger seat is not able to make adjustments. Seat has moved out of the rails, one side moves and the others does not move. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? passengers are stuck in the front, not able to make any adjustments. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, they are saying that the frame of the seat that has been made by mercedes is like a sheet metal and very very brittle. The shaft has been bent overtime and moves out of the motor. When it bends the shaft is shortened and will move only one of the sides. One side moves and the other side does not move. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? yes, it was inspected by the manufacturer but no action been taken. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no warning lights or anything.

When I was driving, the passenger active headrest suddenly deployed and pop out. I’m glad on one was on the passenger seat, and the airbags did not deployed. I’m concerned about the safety of airbags accidentally deploy in the future with the broken headrest.
Sunroof will not close at all, seats will not adjust (electrical), wiper visibility is unclear, defrost doesn't work properly.
The front driver seat the started to rip.
I brought my vehicle to Mercedes Benz for a rear tail light recall. When I picked up my vehicle the brake pedal went to the floor. Note: this was not happening prior to me dropping my vehicle off to the dealer. I informed the service manager and he drove my vehicle back to the mechanic. The service manager had me go to where my vehicle was on a lift. The service manager told me that the rear brake line on my vehicle rusted (metal line) out causing the brake fluid to leak out. Also, the passenger front seat sensor went and needed to be replaced. The seat would not move back or forward. In a previous complaint I filed today, I inadvertently put the wrong VIN number in my complaint. The correct VIN number is wddgf8bb3af406837. The previous complaint number is 11102627. My apologies.

When I bought my car my passenger seat was ripped in the seam. I took my car to mercedes dealership and they contacted mercedes to see if this would be covered and mercedes said noI had to of cleaned my seats with cleaner to wear out the leather. I for 1. Had just bought the car and it was a one owner before me (lease) and 2. I never clean my seats with any cleaner and the r. I. P. Was right on the seam, so this to me was a defect in the seat from the get go with mercedes. The dealership took photos so those should be on file. This was denied and I had to pay out of my own pocket. Secondly, the same thing happened to the driver seatthe exact same rip. I had to pay to have this fixed out of my own pocket as well. I find it hard to believe two seats within 6 months or so rip in the seams and mercedes doesn't think it's a defect on their part. I've owned several mercedes and this has never happened before let along it has never happened to me with any of my cars. I would like for you to look into this because I was not able to get the mercedes manufactured seats put back in because they were so expensive. I think mercedes should pay for my seats to be replaced.
Purchased car March 2015 with a 3 year extended warranty. Inside drivers door handle broke (plastic piece inside door I believe). Dealer claims warranty does not cover this because it is cosmetic and it will cost me in excess of $1100. To get it fixed. This is a major safety issue, one should not have to open the window and feel for the door handle to open the door. In many situations this could be a matter of life or death. This is just as critical as an air bag in my eye. I believe the dealer should cover this under the warranty, and may even warrant a recall.
I purchased this vehicle in 2009 and over the years I have replaced both front headlight assembly, left and right at the cost of $800. 00 each. I was told that a bulb blew fusing the wires together resulting in the replacement of the entire assembly. The driver seat head rest simply fell apart.
