After approx 24,000 miles and 18 months, I was told all four tires needed to be replaced and were down to between 3/32nd and 2/32nd tread left on all four tires, despite regular rotations, alignment, and overall car maintenance. These were purchased at mavis in east brunswick, NJ in may, 2022 and we were notified of the tread wear after a regular maintenance appointment at a Mercedes Benz dealer. I notified mavis and came in for them to measure tread depth, which was found to be in the unsafe range. Mavis is only offering me warranty coverage, based on mileage used, of a total of $360. Obviously, this is a manufacturer defect since all four tires wore so quickly and evenly. I was told there is a 40,000 mile warranty.

I got my mercedes C300 4matic 2019 model car back in 2019 August and since the purchase, I have unfortunately visited the service center more times than I would ideally want and lack of product safety (tires) endangers my life on the road. I'm listing out all the visits for your reference. 10th Feb 2020 (at 3,683 miles) left front tire. 23rd Mar 2021 (at 14,002 miles) left front, also change right front to balance the car. 13th Nov 2021 (at 19,984 miles) right front tire. 28th Dec 2021 (at 21,084 miles) left front tire. "front tire details: continental 225/40r19 y xl".

I was driving on highway 1, at about 45 mph, on my way to work in a light rain. I may have just transitioned into the #1 lane of traffic as I was about 500 feet from the red left turn signal light where I make my normal turn. I just remember my car suddenly hydroplaned across the double yellow line into the oncoming lanes of traffic and hitting the opposite shoulder of the road. My car ended up in a ditch. Luckily it happened at about 0630 in the morning and no one was injured as this is a busy roadway. The tow truck driver noticed that the center tread area of my tires was bald, but the outer tread still had tread on it. I bought my car brand new 14 months ago from mercedes. Only my wife and I have driven it. The car only has 16,000 miles and the tires should not be in this condition. I brought it back to mercedes and the service manager said they see this a lot with these tires, which should only last 12,000 miles! this is absolute nonsense. And it does not match the tire manufacturers claim on their website. In the mercedes service area is a 3d display showing how low tread causes hydroplaning! I continue to drive this same stretch of road to work. I now noticed it is actually on a slight incline, and there is no area where water would pool, causing me to hydroplane. I believe there is a serious defect in these tires. Had circumstances been slightly different (closer to big trees, had I been going faster, had there been pedestrians, had there been other cars on the roadway) this could have been a fatal or very serious injury collision. Chp & fire arrived on scene, but I did not request a police report. There is a record in their dispatch call.

I hit a pothole on the 96th street tranverse road through central park. Westbound around 4:30pm on June 3, 2013. Aaa towed me to 54th st auto center on the same day. Both right side tires were damaged and could not be repaired. They both had to be replaced. My car is a 2013 Mercedes Benz cost of repair $734. 36. Can you please reimburse me ?.
My complaint doesn't involve one incident, rather a series of issues with the tires on my 2009 mercedes C300. I have had 11 flat tires over the course of 2 1/2 years, and I've had new tires fail repeatedly on 1st impact from not only potholes, but also very small uneven parts in the roads. I've had the inner walls of my tires fail repeatdely even without impact, and mercedes claims it is not a product issue. They have told me that there are two approved tire types for my car, the 17" continental low profile contrproicontact tires which I have and which mercedes service team continures to put on my car and a michelin model which I'm told costs about $20/tire more and which mercedes will not use as replacements. I believe this to be because of the higher cost associated with the michelin tires. I am extremely concerned, frustrated and dissatisfied with this driving experience, and to this point, the benzel busch mercedes dealership in englewood, NJ, has not rectified the situation. It's gotten to the point where I'm back to the dealership every month or two, and 2 months ago, I had to go twice in one day. I don't feel safe driving the car, and nobody that I know who also drives on the same roads as me has anywhere near the level of incidents. Mercedes also checked the wheel alighment, rims and chassis, and they have told me it's not an issue with any of those either. Any help would be much appreciated.
