Three problems related to front driver side air bag inflator have been reported for the 2008 Mercedes Benz C350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Takata recall. According to takata, in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the air bag cushion material, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. I am also getting a front right srs malfunction service required.

Takata recall the inflators have been recalled and mb website indicates that significant degradation of the propellents occurs in 6 to 9 years for people living in humid areas. The call is 9 years old and in a humid area, yet mb refuses to fix airbag, deactivate airbag or provide alternative transportation. Mb is forcing me to assume the risk of driving a vehicle, they admit is likely now unsafe.
