Equipment Problems of Mercedes Benz C350

My car has been identified as having the subframe corrosion issue and is on the list by date and model, but Mercedes Benz will not honor the warranty because my car's VIN is not on their list.

Car has several recalls but due to my geographical location mb refuses to assist. Now the car has completely malfunction and has been parked up since September.

Sudden huge car fire with loud explosions. The whole front of the car got totally burned down. The car was parked in the front of the store with engine running.

On Tuesday, January 16, I parked my vehicle on level ground at a shopping center and it rolled backwards out of the parking space and nearly hit a pedestrian. I had to press the brakes to stop the vehicle. I then pulled back into the space and put the vehicle in park again and the vehicle rolled backward out of the parking space. I repeated the sequence a third time and the vehicle rolled a little and stopped on its own. I immediately contacted mercedes of annapolis and the service person explained that the gears work on an electronic system and the issue was a �fluke. � the next day, the same thing happened with my vehicle. This time I paralleled parked, placed my vehicle in park and it rolled forward. I had to apply the brakes to keep from hitting the vehicle in front of mine. I backed up my vehicle and placed the vehicle in park and it rolled forward again. I did it a third time and the vehicle came to an abrupt and jerky stop.

I have contacted the Mercedes Benz dealership twice since the airbag recall. I was told both times that they do not have the parts to replace my recalled airbags. My safety is in danger until the parts are made available. That is my complaint.

The interior door handles are not engineered correctly and break easily. I have had to replace mine 3 time at $1000 every time it breaks. This is a big safety hazard should I have to exit the vehicle for any type of emergency. It can also put people in harms way as most people due not have $1000 on hand to dump out every time one of these handles break and would have to wait conciderable time before repairs can be made. The car may be the only means they have to get to work. Very unsafe situation.

Takata recall. I have contacted Mercedes Benz of naples and was told that they did not have the parts and did not know when they would get them in.

Interior trim has been coming off for 2 years crap construction.

Heat and ac air sensor keeps going out each year . Last two years they replaced it . Ac rumble in hot weather.

On Tuesday, June 9, 2015, I drove my car to work and parked at approximately 7:45 am. I did not get back into the car until 4:30 pm on the same day. When I attempted to start up my vehicle, it would not start. I called a mechanic friend, and he determined that it is a faulty eis which is the same problem that other people are describing here. As it stands right now, I will never buy another Mercedes Benz!!!!.

I parked the car,few hours later,I try to put it on,no starting occurred,no external light ,the battery was dead. I bought a new battery but it did not function. I consulted with several mechanics and one them talled me that place where I put the key that is called the panel switch was damage and suggested me to call Mercedes Benz dealer because it happens that there was recalls that several cars had the same problems for cars from 2008 -2014. This problem affected the original battery that I had.

About 3 moths ago my car was unable to start, Mercedes Benz (mb) technician came and diagnose it that there is an issue with the electrinic ignition switch(eis) - that it was not recognizing my key. The tech. Wiggle around the key and was able to crank and start my car. It never happen again until last week (August 16,2014), the car won't start again. I called mb and they send me a technician at my house, his diagnosis was the eis issue again and this time he was not able to start my car. He suggested that it should be towed to the nearest dealership. This morning (Aug. 18, 2014), I tried to start my car and wiggle the key on the ignition and I was able to start the car again. Unfortunately when I turned off the ignition, I was not able to start it again. A friend of my told me that there was a recall regarding the eis of Mercedes Benz c 350 in 2008. The mb camapign no. Is 2008020003, March 2008. I called mercedez benz and asked them if they will cover the cost for replacing the eis. Their response was, they will not because my car VIN was not one of the cars that is being recalled about this eis problem. Why is mb is not covering the cost, this is the same issue on the recall regarding the eis malfunction that was sent in March 2008.

Upon filling gas tank noticed fuel smell in garage. This happened many times. Decided not to fill completely, and smell went away. I now only put 10 gallons in the tank and do not fill up. I'm sending this because I saw an article in the la times indicting this may be problem with "e" class vehicles.
