I was driving my vehicle when the transmission started shifting erratically. The shifts were not smooth but hard and the car was shuddering. Yes the vehicle is available for inspection. My safety and the safety of others were at risk due to the erratic behavior of the vehicle and how it affected my ability to focus on driving safely. Yes my vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer and the problem has been reproduced by my local Mercedes Benz dealer. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. After a few weeks of driving I saw a “low coolant” warning appear, this turned out to indicate that the radiator had leaked coolant into the transmission which damaged the internal transmission components and torque converter.
My car’s left side rear subframe is cracked due to corrosion. I started hearing a weird noise a week ago, and my car suddenly veered to the left side when I pressed the brake. I almost crashed my car because the car moved to the left of the yellow line on the road. I searched about this issue on google and found that many c-class owners (w204 generation) are experiencing the same issue due to the design flaws/defects by mercedes-benz. Now I have to pay up to $10,000 for the repair that is due to a defective part. In other countries like the uk and south korea, this issue is covered by mercedes-benz, but in the united states, it is not covered. The repair is done at owner’s expense. I fear driving now because my car steers to the left when I press the brake. The rear subframe must be recalled since this issue is now common to all c-class models produced in 2008-2014, and if car accidents occur, many people can be killed. I almost crashed my car due to my rotten subframe. Please help.

The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle restarted with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the valve cover gasket and various other unknown components needed to be replaced; however, no repair was completed. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle remained at the independent mechanic awaiting a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.
When driving my '06 C350 with 48 thousand miles, yes 48k on it, the transmission seems to go into a safe mode. It normally occurs when driving at highway speeds and have to slow down gradually, then upon acceleration the transmission just revs up the rpm with no power. I'm afraid me and my two children will be rear-ended due to the loss of power in the transmission. I then try to drive it to the next exit, shut off the engine and restart. This normally resets everything to normal. But it could occur again minutes or hours later which is now getting frustrating given the car is barely reaching 50k miles. So this happens intermittently, unexpectedly, and with varying frequency. Mercedes benz USA should have a recall on this as when I call the dealership they know exactly what happened and it's a very well-know defect that costs a considerable amount to repair. This car started doing it at 40k and does it often. I've notified my lawyer because I'm afraid it could happen with a vehicle behind me and thus cause an unexpected rear end impact from another driver on the highway.

Vehicle power steering will stop working, making the vehicle hard to turn. Very dangerous if you are over 60 miles an hour.
While driving, the car loses throttle and the engine does not function at all. The following error shows on the dash: "inoperative see operator's manual". When this happens, your only choice is to coast to a safe place. After restarting the car, it will function for a short time, only to reoccur. This obviously can be deadly if you cannot get off the highway before the car comes to a stop. This has happened at various speeds.
Electronic transmission : oct. 29, 2015. My car was parked in the garage. I opened the tailgate, put something into the trunk, pushed the electric button and the tailgate closed. I got into the car, started the engine, and the tailgate popped open. I backed up to clear the garage, stopped the car on my flat driveway, and put the transmission in park. I opened the door, walked around to the back of the vehicle, pushed the button again, and stood there watching the tailgate close, for good measure. When it locked, the car popped out of park into reverse (not neutral); drove into me and pinned me against the building fracturing my left leg, until neighbors heard me screaming, ran out, got into the car, and drove it off me.
Car had ignition switch failure. Steering wheel locked transmission locked in park. Dash lights and door locks operate. Car had to be towed to dealer. This has been a large problem with these vehicles for years. There should be a manufactuer recall not a consumer expense. Thank you, please help.
The contact owns a 2008 mercedes-benz c 350. The contact stated that the vehicle was shifted into reverse but the vehicle would not respond. The contact then shifted into drive but still, no response. The contact had to restart the vehicle to in order for the vehicle to respond. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the dealer did not perform a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was 21,000. The VIN was not available.
I really needed mb to come through for me in my situation. I'm a loyal owner of Mercedes Benz (two cars in the past 4 years). My most recent purchase, the C350 sport, came down with a transmission breakdown last week after 3 years and just 86k miles. I had the car towed to the euromotors, germantown MD just to be told that I was going to have to pay about $10 k in repairs. I became a mb customer because of your craftsmanship reputation. I never expected a powertrain issue so early in the life of such a great car. Their service department diagnosed my car as needing a new transmission but are not willing to offer a courtesy repair on my car because my regular scheduled services had not been completed by them or since 38k miles. As the gm of euromotors germantown I'm writing to ask for your help in my unique situation. I'm sure you are also a Mercedes Benz owner or driver and in that case how would you feel as the owner of brand that has be portrayed as one of the finesse car companies around based on craftsmanship and reliability factors to just get hit with a transmission problem in less then 4 yrs and 86k miles. I wished mb stood behind their products as advertised, I guess I made a big mistake when I left BMW to become a mercedes owner.
First day when receiving my keys for a brand new mercedes C350 2009 at the dealership. . . Engine light turns on. Later finding out it was the fuel system needed to be replaced. A month later of getting a brand new car corrosion was found in the taillights. Then finding out corrosion on the brake pads. Months after this the power train was slipping up. . . The rpms of the car would surge up high and remain stuck at high rpms. If I accelerated the gas it would shoot up higher to higher rpms and the car would make the noise but it wouldn't move. I thought if I let go of the gas thinking the rpms would return back down. . . But it wouldn't. . . Huge safety issue when your in the middle of the freeway and have no control to drive your car. I would have to pull over some how and turn off the car for the rpms to come back down so I can drive it again. I brought the car back several times to the dealership but they could never duplicate the issue. Therefore, nothing got fixed or replaced just constant software updates were stated were done. Soon after taking my car over 5+ times for this same issue, my srs steering malfunctioned. I got that replaced and paid for it a year ago. Now back today exactly 12 months later repairing it again - srs malfunction. . . Again stranded in the middle of no where waiting for a tow truck all alone. I have been to the dealership repairing my car for so many different things, getting stranded, towing my car, paying for all repairs and giving up weekends and work time to go to the dealership. I hate this car! that I'm absolutely have no peace of mind, I don't feel safe, car is not reliable, has extremely poor quality. Not worth it at all!.
