Other Fuel System Problems of Mercedes Benz C350

At 9,000 miles my 2006 mercedes C350 had to have a fuel pump replaced. It was out of warranty (low miles usage for 5 year old car) so I had to pay $900 for the repair. I could smell fuel everytime I filled the tank and the mercedes dealer said the pump had to be replaced. I read about a recall of e350 models being recalled for the same reason with the same engine. I asked the dealer about this and they said mine was not part of the recall because it is a c class mercedes. It has the same engine with the same problem and I think this should be looked into.

Fuel flex line from firewall to fuel rail is leaking at both connections, ie. Both ends at the swaged fitting.

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Mercedes Benz e350. The contact stated that he had a fuel leak in his vehicle. The gas from the fuel sending unit had been leaking and that the pool of gas sat underneath the contact's back seat. The sitting fuel then leaked into the vehicle's rear seats. The contact also stated that he can smell a gas aroma throughout the vehicle, also, a dried gas film sat on top of the vehicle's access panel. No warning lights illuminate due to this vehicle failure. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer(mercedes-benz of west covina 2010 e garvey Ave s, west covina, CA 91791 626-859-1200) where he informed them that he had discovered an article from NHTSA that stated mercedes would offer an extended warranty(p-bq-fuel-3wa) to their consumers for this defect that the contact had experienced. Mercedes benz had refused to cover the vehicle because the specific defect part had not been covered under the warranty. The contact was given a quote for the repair of the defective part. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and agreed with the contact that the dealer should cover the vehicle under the warranty; however, he had also been informed that his local dealer had refused to honor the warranty and they had the right to refuse the repair. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 147,647. Jo.

Fuel leek under seat passenger side as well strong smell coming from everywhere when the gas thank is filled at the gas station. I called the mbusa for help with this problem and they refocused to help . This is been ungoing problem with the mercedes as I had same problem with my 2007 s550 as well my 2007 e350 . This time I'm extremely scared ,if this problem that I have with my car it's going to cause the health damage to me and my family , and every time I open my garage door in the morning I'm afraid the electrical light or motor would spark and ignite the fumes and cause the major explosion in my house/ garage. Please I need help fixing my car and thousands other americans with the same problem. Thank you.

While driving, the car loses throttle and the engine does not function at all. The following error shows on the dash: "inoperative see operator's manual". When this happens, your only choice is to coast to a safe place. After restarting the car, it will function for a short time, only to reoccur. This obviously can be deadly if you cannot get off the highway before the car comes to a stop. This has happened at various speeds.

I have a very loud odor of gasoline coming from near my back wheel on the drivers side. The car rides fine and I get good gas mileage but it is not leaking anywhere. I took my backseat out and there was nothing wet. I also replaced the gas cap and it did not help.

The car has a strong gas smell inside the cabin and outside the rear of the driver passenger tire well area and its a strong smell.

I parked the car,few hours later,I try to put it on,no starting occurred,no external light ,the battery was dead. I bought a new battery but it did not function. I consulted with several mechanics and one them talled me that place where I put the key that is called the panel switch was damage and suggested me to call Mercedes Benz dealer because it happens that there was recalls that several cars had the same problems for cars from 2008 -2014. This problem affected the original battery that I had.

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Mercedes Benz C350. The contact stated that a strong odor of fuel emitted inside the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed and repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000. Pam.

First day when receiving my keys for a brand new mercedes C350 2009 at the dealership. . . Engine light turns on. Later finding out it was the fuel system needed to be replaced. A month later of getting a brand new car corrosion was found in the taillights. Then finding out corrosion on the brake pads. Months after this the power train was slipping up. . . The rpms of the car would surge up high and remain stuck at high rpms. If I accelerated the gas it would shoot up higher to higher rpms and the car would make the noise but it wouldn't move. I thought if I let go of the gas thinking the rpms would return back down. . . But it wouldn't. . . Huge safety issue when your in the middle of the freeway and have no control to drive your car. I would have to pull over some how and turn off the car for the rpms to come back down so I can drive it again. I brought the car back several times to the dealership but they could never duplicate the issue. Therefore, nothing got fixed or replaced just constant software updates were stated were done. Soon after taking my car over 5+ times for this same issue, my srs steering malfunctioned. I got that replaced and paid for it a year ago. Now back today exactly 12 months later repairing it again - srs malfunction. . . Again stranded in the middle of no where waiting for a tow truck all alone. I have been to the dealership repairing my car for so many different things, getting stranded, towing my car, paying for all repairs and giving up weekends and work time to go to the dealership. I hate this car! that I'm absolutely have no peace of mind, I don't feel safe, car is not reliable, has extremely poor quality. Not worth it at all!.
