One problem related to air bag not deploy has been reported for the 2001 Mercedes Benz CLK320. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Mvc with frontal impact first through an t intersection then a culvert and striking a tree at a speed >45 mph. Airbag did not deploy and seatbelt did not lock on drivers side while engaged. Driver incurred a 20% compression fracture on l1 vertabrae.
