One problem related to door latch has been reported for the 2004 Mercedes Benz CLK320. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Passenger latch broke and door would not hold closed . Mb fixed this. Now the same thing happened to the drivers side. While driving the door came open and would not latch shut. Could have caused severe injury. I had to drive the car to mb while holding door closed. They would not cover this issue.
