The vehicle during a severe accident, in which the other drivers air bags were deployed, our vehicles airbags did not in fact deploy at any rate. Which put all passengers in severe danger causing injuries that could have been avoided if they worked properly. Also the drivers seat belt (which was worn at the time of the accident) due to the immense collision at one point clicks unhinged and would no longer actively snap back causing multiple injuries as well. This incident will call for suit.

The airbags deployed on their own without a collision. I was driving 30 mph on a residential street with roads in excellent condition when all the sudden the steering wheel and passenger dash airbags went off out of n o where.
On Mar. 18, 2017 I was in a parking lot preparing to leave. When I started the car the mechanism that brings the seat belt forward so I can grab it began to move back and forward erratically. When it stopped the seatbelt failed to come all the way out. I turned the car off and started it again and the mechanism came out like it should but the seatbelt wouldn't come out. I played with seatbelt until I got it to come out, however, it wouldn't retract to fit snug against my body. I shut off the car again and turned it on again and the mechanism came out as it should but the seatbelt didn't do anything. I tried to manually retract the seatbelt but it didn't work so I had to drive home without a seatbelt.

At approximately 74,000 miles the front drivers side seat belt electric extender went in and out 6 six times uncontrollably, then in the retracted position failed all together, while the seat belt itself remained in the slack position and would not retract. This malfunction left the front drivers seat belt useless, a huge safety risk and violates colorado seat belt law. There are thousands of documented complaints in multiple model and years of the same issue with Mercedes Benz seat belts as published online. The local Mercedes Benz dealer states this is not a consumer serviceable item, and Mercedes Benz service bulletin passes off their manufacturer defect as the consumers fault for "soiling the seat belt and not keeping it clean" which is rubbish. Mercedes benz dealer quote to replace the entire seat belt system front driver side only, $900. 00. Front passenger side starting to malfunction, rear passenger side not fully retracting when exiting the vehicle. The local dealer did not offer a loaner car as I had to wait two weeks for them to "schedule me in" for the repair, thus driving an unsafe vehicle during the two week waiting period.

Seat belt extended without tension and continued to release. So the driver side seat belt was of no functional use. Brought to mercedes service, replaced entire seat-belt and retraction system. Was told the wheel that retracts the belt is defective. Seems like a real safety issue, maybe when someone needs there belt, this will occur, and the result will not be a service call, this should be fixed by mercedes. . .

Vehicle was towed three different occasions due to the check engine light illuminating. The dealer has not been able to permanently correct the problem. They replaced the conductor plate, 2 rings on the connector, trans pan and valve body. The passenger side door never closed properly the first time. It had to be slammed to ensure it was closed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The consumer was told it was fixed, however it was not. The seat belts don't seem to provide much protection as they are loose and slip off the consumer's shoulder while driving. (nar).
