The contact was able to restart the vehicle in order to reset the computer. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on several occasions where the failure was unable to be replicated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the transmission valve housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

The contact stated that after a mile or so that the vehicle would have to be put in park and shifted back into the drive position to get the vehicle to operate normally. The contact stated that this is a recurring incident. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 68,000. Wh.
