Other Fuel System Tank Filling/charging problems of the 2007 Mercedes Benz CLK350

After filling gas tank strong gas smell around car specially in the garage no visible fuel leak. No fuel smell in the car only outside by rear wheels. Not in motion ,.

Gasoline fumes are inside and outside the vehichle after filling the tank. Mercedes agreed to warranty this issue for 15 years on the e-class and cls-class in ea 13-003. These components are the same on this model (clk). The investigation should be reopened and include all effected models.

There is a strong gas smell coming from the vehicle especially after filling up the tank. It was inspected at fletcher jones Mercedes Benz dealer and the leak was found at the fuel tank filter, level sensor, and 2 seal rings. Due to the cost, I did not have the vehicle repaired at the dealer but at a local shop specializing in mb. Cost for the repair was $836. 70. I am reporting this late for purposes of safety and trending.
