Electrical System Problems of Mercedes Benz CLS550

I see there was a recall on instrument clusters on my vehicle in 2001. My instrument cluster is completely black and I can’t see speed or any thing at night. You cant replace the bulb or cluster unless mercedes reprogram it which the price is rediculous. I did some research and seen that mercedes did some recalls for my vehicle but it doesn’t show up. I was told to contact you guys in regards to this.

Car looses communication with the electronic ignition system (keyless system) and while rolling to a stop light, slams the car into park while still rolling. It also will throw itself into park while first accelerating - almost causing the car following me to crash into my rear end.

Re 2006 Mercedes Benz cls500_ 211017_114326 on August 9, 2021, my brakes went out on the freeway when trying to Dodge debris and other vehicles, when the brakes  completely went out and caused me to run over major wood pallet debris, and scared for my. Life to get to the far right lane to make it off te exit with no brakes whatsoever. And causing major under-carriage repairs. Rather than hit the cars on each side of me, all I could do at that point was get over lanes with no brakes, and make it off the exit before I killed myself and/or someone else. The damage  done from the brakes going out, came to over $4000 in damage repairs to the under-carriage and left me without a vehicle for 45 days while in the shop this not only effected my income since  the vehicle was used for lyft,, but I also was evicted from my apt. 30 days later, while my vehicle was in the shop, and unable to work to pay my rent. Once getting the car back these past few weeks, even though repairs were done, the car has continued to threaten my life and others, as the brakes continue to randomly go out at a light, on the freeway, behind a merging car, and ive come so close to having another bad accident. Not to mention since the accident, I am now getting gasoline fumes that seep throughout my car while driving, so profusely, its causing me migraines. But most of all the risk of a fire!.

My airbags deployed after on day of driving home from a day babysitting my niece and nephew I got home parked my car in the garage and that whole night from 11 at night untill about 330 in the morning the loudest sound I've ever herd the equivalent of a bomb detonation explosion went off and im 10 15 feet away painting my garage and next thing I know I look at my mercedes-benz Cls550 2008. All the airbags in the roof and by the back window detonating! I cant understand why to this day the car was locked keys where in my room in the house. My doors will open without the keyfob being in close proximity to the vehicle. My car has been stolen d/t this feature. Also the electrical lighting system malfunctions causing dimmer lights especially when driving at night.

Today, I was informed buy the Mercedes Benz dealer service specialist at intake, at the only dealer in fayetteville n. C. 3203 bragg blvd. When taking the car in for service that the reverse camera for backing up safely, coaxial cable was damaged causing the camera to malfunction due to opening and closing the truck. Apparently, the truck slices the coaxial cable each time you open and close the truck until the cable breaks, stopping the connection of the camera to the viewer. I don't believing this defect in the use of the truck causing the cable to be cut up should be at the consumers expense to fix each time it happens from simply using our trunks. I also have a disability retirement due to injures to my neck and back working as a law enforcement officer, and that back up camera helps to insure safe back ups for people such as myself.

The very day I brought my car home from a used car purchase, the moment I pulled in my driveway to park, the message center said, " sos service not activated" in a warning in the center cluster. It wouldn't go away and I didn't know what to do, so I pushed the sos button and mb asked me, " what is your emergency ?" I appologized and explained that I had received a warning message on my dash. They ended the call and I turned off the car. I restarted the car and the warning went away. This was on Feb 1, 2018 at 4:38 p. M.

The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes Benz s550. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, black smoke emitted from under the hood and within seconds, the vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire. The fire department was called and advised that the fire appeared to be electrical. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and the current mileage was 57,000.
