Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Mercedes Benz E320w. The contact stated while driving approxiximately 10 mph, the another vehicle crashed into the passenger side rear door. The air bags deployed and metal shavings came out the air bags. Medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic for diagnosis. The mechanic stated that the air bags needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000. Kw.
