The front driver side and foot air bags deployed. A police report was not filed. The driver suffered injuries to the hip and arms that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. Car accelerates suddenly in spite of foot on brake. At times foot was put lightly on the gas and car suddenly accelerated. These incidents happened at least 3 times.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 mercedes E350. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced unintended acceleration while stopped at a stop light. After pressing the fuel pedal the vehicle would not immediately respond before suddenly accelerating forward. The contact indicated that the defect had also occurred while the vehicle is in reverse and the defect was intermittent. The contact also indicated that the backup camera had become inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times but the defect could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the defect but no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 3,000. Jft.
