Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Mercedes Benz E500. The contact stated that he had experienced water leaking from his sunroof. Water began collecting around sunroof and traveled towards the driver side door and into the engine. The battery and the service vehicle warning lights illuminated on the vehcile. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the auxiliary battery,the rear battery, and the alternator were replaced. Despite the repair, the warning light still illuminated. The contact then received a recall letter NHTSA recall number19v918000 (visibility) which he linked to his failure. The local dealer(rbm of atlanta, inc. 7640 roswell rd, atlanta, GA 30350) was notified of the recall and informed him that the part are unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
