When I parked my car there was a loud hissing sound near left front end but no smoke or anything from under the hood. When I drove it again I received a warning of (malfunction) when I was turning left the front left tire was grinding on the actual car and barely made it home. The car warning turned red and said pull over car too low. When I parked the car the front left side is now sitting on tire and touching the ground. Unable to drive. Not been investigated by a mechanic, insurance, etc. There was also an airbag warning before this issue.

Takata recall -- considering how potentially dangerous and even fatal the malfunctioning takata airbag(s) may be in my vehicle and that it has been known for years that the airbag(s) may produce deadly shrapnel, it is taking far too long to have the recall parts made available for replacement in my vehicle. Takata should be required to provide the safe replacement airbag components needed and/or Mercedes Benz should be required to ensure that the airbag(s) will be replaced immediately. The delay is completely unacceptable and both takata and the auto manufacturers should be held accountable to get this resolved in all affected vehicles. The incident date listed below (7/20/18) is just the date of my complaint.

Takata recall. My vehicle is affected by takata's recall and I'm unable to sell it at a market fair price due to this recall. As of today mbusa has "no remedy available". I'm scheduled to deploy for a year starting next week, and I will have to keep my vehicle on storage at my own expense for a year, since I was unable to resolve this and get a fair market value for my car in order to sell it.

Have received many notifications about the recall but local dealer Mercedes Benz of delray always states that parts are not yet available. Given that it's well over a year since the initial recall notice was received it's quite disturbing that replacement parts are still not available. Because of the unsafe nature of these airbags this car sits unused in my garage, gets very little use and still have to pay auto insurance for a car I'm not comfortable driving.
