One problem related to automatic transmission gear indicator has been reported for the 1998 Mercedes Benz E Class. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The gear moved on its own with no key. Vehicle was in park a child entered the vehicle, moved the gear from park to neutral, and vehicle rolled back, going through a fence and striking a tree. The child sustained no injuries.
