One problem related to accelerator pedal has been reported for the 2001 Mercedes Benz E Class. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states the brake and accelerator are designed too close together, while attempting to stop vehicle, consumer also pressed down on the accelerator which caused the vehicle to lunge foward and consumer crashed into a building, the dealer checked the vehicle and stated the pedal positions and travel were within specifications.
