One problem related to front air bag sensor control has been reported for the 2001 Mercedes Benz E Class. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The air bags on the front passenger and rear right passenger side deployed although there was no impact. The manufacturer stated that something probably hit the bottom of the vehicle where the sensors are located and caused the air bags to deploy.
