Dashboard cracks on my 1997 mercedes e420 sedan. Cracks have been apparent for 18 months; dealer and regional service rep decline to replace/repair. Similar cracks have been widely reported in mercedes e-class sedans in model years 96-00. Cracks are around passenger airbag door. Wonder if this compromises the airbag system in any way?.
