Service Brakes problem #1

The contact owned a 2009 mercedes-benz gl 550. The contact stated that while driving at 15- 20 mph the driver in front of him was attempting to turn but swerved to the left in his lane the brake pedal was applied but was slow to respond. The contact crashed into a unknown Mini van. There were no warning lights illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. There was no reported fire. A police report was filed. The passenger occupant sustained injuries to the her back and shoulder and medical attention was provided. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: . 2v315000 (service brakes, hydraulic). After the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but provided no additional assistance. The manufacturer requested that he preserve the vehicle. The vehicle was deemed a total lost. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

This is relative to the brake booster recall. Mercedes-benz conducted a test and there was significant corrosion that exceeded the normal limits allowed. I am still under a stop drive order but I have not been provided any further instruction or provided a vehicle to drive while my vehicle awaits repair or buy back. Customer service representatives have not corresponded with me despite multiple emails and calls over the last 2 -3 weeks. I need a vehicle repaired so it can operate safely or I need another vehicle to drive while awaiting available parts please.

The contact owns a 2011 mercedes-benz Gl550. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 22v315000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The contact stated that while reversing, the brake pedal was depressed with an abnormal hissing sound coming from the brake pedal. The contact stated that the sound was audible since the vehicle was purchased in 2019. The local dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact received a vehicle compliance letter from the manufacturer, which stated that a mobile mechanic could be sent to the residence to inspect the vehicle, and the dealer would offer tow service. However, when the dealer was contacted, the dealer refused to assist the contact with the tow service or a mobile mechanic. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle remained at the residence and had not been driven due to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.
