Three problems related to exterior lighting have been reported for the 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The screen goes out goes black gets hot and over heated.
My transmission began leaking fluid with 22,000 miles on it and now the transfer case needs to be replaced because it is leaking transmission fluid. I was driving up a hill and my SUV felt like it was skipping gears. The next day I noticed red liquid on the garage floor. It was towed to mercedes service department in hoover and supposedly fix. However, the transfer case is still leaking.
We have had continuing problems with the control buttons on the windows, temp controls, lights, etc. Losing their painted covering/delaminating. Mercedes has said that this is an environmental problem due to hand lotion and/or air fresheners and not a defect. We've have many cars over many years and we've never had this problem occur before. Apparently mercedes has recognized the problem and sent a service advisory to their repair entities but they are refusing to acknowledge this as a defect. This is a safety problem as the letters and words on the buttons become illegible forcing the driver to take their attention from road to try and obtain the required action.
