The mechanic stated they had to reset the electrical sensor on the vehicle to have the warning light off, however after a few days the warning light came back on. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealership who diagnosed the failure as fuel injector control module performance and it would need to replaced. The contact took the vehicle to another independent mechanic who inspected the vehicle and stated the diagnosis of the dealership was wrong and that the failure is related to a cam shaft failure. The vehicle was not repaired do to the cost. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure,. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
