The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that they could not diagnose the vehicle as the diagnostic link connector was missing from the vehicle. The contact stated that she had verified that the diagnostic link connector was not in the location indicated in the vehicle manual. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased used. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 76,200.
