I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my mercedes-benz Metris serviced at mercedes-benz coconut creek (florida) under recall vs2las561 – 9789vmcrc (customer service case #20781216). On February 12th, I delivered the vehicle for recall service. It was returned on February 23rd without the recall properly completed. Invoice no. 328897 – tag t9514 lists replacement of four continental 235/55 r17 tires and installation of four prs sensor repair kits. These items were not installed. The tires were placed in the trunk, and only three used sensors are present; one wheel has no sensor. Additionally, the dealership provided 235/55 r17 tires, while the vehicle is homologated for 225/55 r17. Supplying non-approved tire sizes represents a safety concern. Since purchase (from the same dealership), I have reported tire pressure irregularities and abnormal lateral tire wear. During the most recent service, no tire rotation was performed despite documented uneven wear. Two weeks prior to the recall visit, I experienced a highway tire blowout while traveling with my family. When attempting to install the spare tire, I discovered the wheel lock removal key had been removed during a prior mercedes service and not returned. I was unable to change the tire and required roadside assistance. The lug bolts had to be forcibly removed by an external shop, potentially damaging wheel components. The dealership has not properly resolved these safety-related issues. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle under current conditions. I request investigation into: • recall execution compliance • tire size compliance with vehicle specifications • improper documentation of uninstalled parts • removal of required emergency equipment (wheel lock key) these issues present potential safety risks to vehicle occupants and other road users. Thanks.

Overloading over time could cause excessive tire wear and in a worst case scenario, could lead to tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash. An authorized mercedes-benz Metris dealer will replace the tire information label on the b-pillar and fuel filler door. Dealers will also check the tires on the vehicle to verify that they are the correctly specified tires. If the tires on the vehicle are of a lower rating than what is specified in the operators manual, the tires will be replaced with new tires having the specified load rating. This repair will be done free of charge.

Check engine light cel code p052e suddenly turned on in the winter about 1 1/2 year ago, but turned off itself after a month. The check engine light cel code p052e turned on suddenly in June 2024 and stays on still. Emailed and complaint to Mercedes Benz USA and received no answer. Mercedes benz USA given recall and emission extended warranty on this code to all c, e, g, , slc and slk class passenger cars with 2. 0 engine on August 25, 2023, but excluded my passenger van model, Metris, which has the same code and is a common problem. This is not right and not fair. Please advise and help.

Check engine light on, code p052e(71) positive crankcase ventilation (pcv) regulator valve performance malfunction.
A safety recall #22v482 was issued on this vehicle on 9/9/2022. It's now been nearly 18 months and the manufacturer has yet to issue a remedy or mark the recall "open" so we can get it addressed. The is effecting both the safety of operation, causing confusion over load ratings, and possibly effecting resell as this information is public. Please get this recall enforced.
I am the owner of 2018 Mercedes Benz matrix. The car was purchased in order to use it for business on renting platform. It does have recall which is not active and in review for more than a year. Because of it im not able to use the car, all renting platforms are blocking the car because it is open recall. Mercedes doesn't have remedy obviously, and just have it pending. Im loosing all business/ money because of this recall. The car is just standing parked, as I understand it is unsafe to drive for me and for other people.
There was a tire recall for my van for incorrect tire load which causes exceeding wear and dangerous tire conditions. I keep getting my tires changed every year cause they wear down so fast. Mercedes and the dealership won’t reimburse me because it is still in a pending status which has been ongoing now for 2 years!!!.
Vehicle moved away backwards after placing vehicle in park. Vehicle is in a repair shop in calgary, alberta, canada. Driver's door, door frame, and rear door damage. After placing the vehicle in park following pulling the vehicle forward in drive, I stepped out of the driver's door and the vehicle began moving backwards. I was nearly injured as the open driver's door was bent 180 degrees around as it struck a building support column. I made it partially back into the vehicle, just clearing the door-column squeeze, one leg in and one leg still on the ground trying to get on the brake as I slide past the support column in the drivers foot well. I fell out once past the support column and the vehicle continued to travel backwards another 10 feet or so before striking a tree. The Mercedes Benz dealer in calgary gave me a copy of a recall notice for sprinter vans. The dealer informed me sprinter vans apparently have the same shifter components as the Metris vans. The recall notice was for sprinter roll-a-way situations following placing sprinters in park, and do-not sell/drive orders were apparently issued. A police report was taken, but no one has inspected the issue or components. No symptoms or warnings were observed prior to the incident.

I am trying to get a safety recall handled, that states the possibility of crash if not taken care of. Mercedes still says a recall still pending. This was reported in September of 2022, and seems like an easy recall to handle. I am hoping to get this handled so I feel safe driving with my family in the van.
This has been happening recently. The smell of coolant as I am driving vehicle. But only sometimes I notice. No indicator or warning lamps on dash comes up. I am concerned because I feel at risk of fire or and having health issue. I have not seen any leaks other than from ac. One mechanic had looked, but said no leaks & can confirm smell, but has to further diagnose. Will also get 2nd and 3rd opinions & will look more into myself. Research online also, about others with same problem. Is this an issue where it maybe a legitimate recall? others have confirmed this should. Thank you.
Nhtsa recall number 22v482 recall incomplete, remedy not yet available for a very long time. While we can still operate the vehicle physically, it would be out of compliance to share the vehicle within the company while an active recall is not addressed by manufacture.
There's no remedy available and it has been almost a whole year.
Wheel speed sensors appear to fail on a routine basis (every 0-10 months), similar to the subject of recall 21v-042 on sprinter vans. Sensor failure disables most safety features of vehicles including abs, blind spot warning, assisted steering, and other safety features. The failure causes notable issues with handling/steering and braking. Failure at highway speed impacts vehicle driving stability and increases the risk of a crash. Dealer previously repaired under warranty in October or November 2021. Unit failed in traffic at highway speed again in September 2022. Contacted dealer and was informed they are not scheduling maintenance appointments at this time and would not reimburse the cost of repair by an outside mechanic. They would also not acknowledge whether the vehicle is safe to drive and would not give an estimate on when they would be able to schedule a service appointment. They recommended transporting the vehicle to another city for service but implied they would not reimburse costs of doing so. Having most safety systems dependent on a poorly designed part with a high failure rate is not acceptable.
My complaint is about the open recall on my vehicle, its been more than a year now and still there is no resolution in sight, due to the open recall I am unable to use my vehicle for my business and it's impacting me financially. On contacting several mercedes dealership, I am not getting any answers on when they will be able to fix the problem and remove the recall. Active safety recall for my vehicle • pdglastre (NHTSA #22v482).
Mercedes knew in 2018 there was a problem with weighing loading. On sept 7 I received a recall notice. Now almost 3 month later they still have no fix. At this time my vehicle is in my mind unsafe to drive due to excessive tire wear on the fron end. Don't want to purchase 2 more tires at my expense, since I only have 23,000 miles on vehicle. Have replaced 2 at 15,000 miles. Seems like mercedes is just plain dragging this out and hoping said vehicle owners will drop the whole thing. Help!!.
There is an active recall that mercedez is ignoring.

I have been trying for 5 months to get this fixed from the dealer and or manufacturer. They still state they dont have the parts or something . Its been to long and this is a serious safety hazrd to not be able to use the back up camera correctly . We are not even using the vehicle at this time .
Rear back up camera image is frozen, showing a rear view snapshot, but not a live image.
Rearview camera broken.

Rear view camera control module broken. This causes rear view camera to be stuck in the housing and inoperable, so this is a safety issue. The rear view camera system was installed improperly. Instead of in the rear door panel, the control module was installed in the right side d panel. Additionally, it was not secured properly but was just placed loosely in a plastic bag. Rear view camera system available for inspection upon request. I know for a fact that this is the case with other new 2020 mercedes Metris. Additional information available upon request. I have had multiple conversations with mb santa rosa, CA and mb wilsonville, or and they have not been helpful. They expect me to pay for the part, even though mb did not install it properly. They refuse to fix the rear view camera system and restore it to factory specifications.
Engine temp drops 4 marks from regular operating temp. Come into town temp drops and heater blows cold air. Took to dealership they say everything is fine. It all checks out. Sent videos to them of what it is doing. Told to put a divider in but won't help if it cools drastically and blows cold air. Over a year this has been going on. Every time the weather turns cold. It's a safety hazard. A person could freeze to death. Vehicle in motion. City street.
If a vehicle is in the driver's blind spot, but the bsm system does not warn the driver, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
Side mirrors are too tall and too short! we almost got into accident for several times before but yesterday (7/17/17) was really close! I was changing to right lane when another car is so close I have to slam my brakes because my passenger mirror is so bad about visibility. Please help before we get hurt or worse. Thank you!.
