Dash Wiring problems of the 2001 Mercedes Benz ML320

Two problems related to dash wiring have been reported for the 2001 Mercedes Benz ML320. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 09/18/2003

While driving dashboard started smoking without warning.

2 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 08/31/2001

The bas/esp light turns on on the dashboard. Told by the manufacturer to stop a car, turn complete left, and then complete right, switch off the engine for 10 seconds and start the engine. First couple of times the light on the dashboard disappeared. On the 3rd occurrence, the light stayed on. Called the dealer to have the look at the car.
