The contact stated was able to pull over to the side of the roadway and turned the vehicle off. The vehicle was towed to the dealer Mercedes Benz of annapolis (324 6th st. Annapolis, MD 21403 (888) 261-7620 where the vehicle was diagnosed with catastrophic engine failure due to a meltdown of the engine wiring harness and the exhaust manifold had ruptured. The vehicle was not repaired but deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 224,000. The VIN was not available. Cb.
