The vehicle lost all power suddenly. Other owners have also experienced similar problems. I found this out by searching the internet. I followed what others have done. I had a local garage replace the cps-crankshaft position sensor and the problem has resolved. I suspect faulty design of the crankshaft position sensor. Very fortunate that no one was injured. My 16 year old daughter was driving.
2001 mb Ml320 when push the brake the cruise control did nit disengaged the car did not stop had to push the gear to n.
Continuing problems with power steering. Taken to the dealer for inquiry over 3 years ago; no resolution presented. Problems have persisted and gotten progressively worse. Only when researching, was I made aware of the recall. No notification from manufacture or dealer. Substantial costs incurred and vehicle continues to leak after numerous repairs. Moonroof unable to close 100% - taken to dealership. Advised the problem was seen routinely with this particular moonroof. Advised to fore-go repair due to cost. Upon extensive research, this problem is quite customary and unsure as to why the vehicle was not recalled or repairs made by the manufacturer. Would like a written response outlining options and resources to remedy these issues.
We own a 2000 mercedes Ml320 we have received a recall notice about six month ago and nothing has been done to the car as of yet. The dealer claims that there are no parts available and I have made multiple calls to mb offices and I was told that parts are available and should be installed already. Nobody follows through.
I own a Mercedes Benz 2001 Ml320 and the lateral acceleration sensor failed around 15,000 miles and was replaced at my own expense. The bas/esp (break assist/electronic stability program) warning light comes on during each short or long trips and goes away after the vehicle sits for a while and restart of the engine and this started to occur after the warranty expired. The first replacement did not work because the wrong parts was used (so the dealer says) and the problem came right back but was corrected with the correct parts the second time (sometimes I feel the esp kicks in and breaking but that might just be my feeling). This could be a safety related issue and should be a recall item since customers that are used to these safety features may have wrong sense of feeling when the sensor fails unexpectedly at a time when this feature can avoid an accident.

After parking the car a smell of smoke was noted. The car had been driving very well and was recently serviced by a mercedes dealership which included a new battery among other things. Black smoke was noted coming out of the hood. As it was attempted to pop open the hood, flames darted into the compartment through a created hole just under the glove compartment. Flames were noted coming out of the hood, around the tires and soon engulfing the entire front of the car. The flames were put out by the fire dept. The car is a total loss. The entire engine and it's components completely disintegrated, the interior filled with black soot and odor. This was a huge shock and surprise to the owner since the vehicle was driving so well and never had a serious problem before.
Noticed poor gas mileage. Contacted dealer, and replaced fuel sending unit. Second time replaced a fuel pump . Also, engine check light came on.
Key lock problems, would not start due to key problems, would not start because of fuel pump failures, would not start due to gas tank problems, door lock assemblies move up and down by themselves, latch on hatch door rattled, rear seat belts rattle, oil out light came on at random times, engine check light on, last the fly-by wire gas pedal went to the floor with sudden acceleration causing an accident of the vehicle with $14,000 damage.
Total electrical failure after stopping, towed to dealer in va. For repair. Locks popping up and down like a machine gun, dealer has "fixed" 3 times, cd player failure after a month, dealer replaced complete unit, dash warning lights were either off at starting or some on or all off, dealer found no problem, seems to have healed. We do not trust the vehicle which we purchased new anymore. We are constantly awaiting something else to go wrong.
Owner's manual states on page 59 'press down rocker switch symbols: auxiliary front fog lamps on (if so equipped). Green indicator lamp in instrument cluster comes on. Green indicator lamp in instrument cluster does not come on! dealer service manager tells me he has not seen this light in any ml 320 or ml 430 equipped with front fog lights. I called customer assistance center mercedes-benz of north America inc. And was told I would never see this light, the owner's manual is in error. I feel this indicator light is as important as the blue headlamp high beam indicator light to remind the driver high beams are on, so as not to annoy oncoming drivers. The mercedes-benz auxiliary front fog lamps are bright! they are wonderful for driving on the narrow rural roads where I live in pennsylvania, but they will annoy oncoming drivers if left on.
Check engine sensor.
The cup holders do not function properly. Nlm.
Keyless entery failed. Yh.
