Mercedes Benz ML350 owners have reported 10 problems related to suspension (under the suspension category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Mercedes Benz ML350 based on all problems reported for the ML350.
In April 2023, while performing a rear brake service both right and left suspension springs were found with deteriorated suspension spring coating, corrosion and breakage of the coil springs. Suspension spring failure poses a safety hazard and risk of damage to other suspension components. It is unclear when exactly the springs broke but when the vehicle was inspected in Feb of 2022 there was no mention of spring breakage. The date of incident is the date I discovered the spring breaks. I only took a pic of the one spring but both were confirmed broken. Mb dealership confirmed breakage. Communication with Mercedes Benz was not successful.

The contact owns a 2015 mercedes-benz Ml350. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the driveway, she noticed an unknown fluid leaking from the vehicle. Over time, the contact noticed that an unknown pink fluid had also started to leak form the vehicle. On one occasion while driving 25 mph, the vehicle started to hesitate with an abnormal popping sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that dark blue smoke was coming from the vehicle. The vehicle eventually stalled without warning. The vehicle failed to restart for almost an hour. The vehicle eventually restarted after multiple attempts and was driven back to the residence. The following day, the vehicle was towed to the dealer where they discovered that water was leaking into the exhaust and had caused the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 18v272000 (suspension) which she linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
Have toya tires on 2015 mercedez Ml350. In snow/ice roads car makes unpronounced lateral motion such that passenger and driver notice. Is worst with patchy ice snow conditions. Problem is not apparent in dry conditions. Condition is quite to most concernoing. Tire pressure is to mercedez specificatiions all tires at 32lbs.
Vehicle has a very unstable ride that continues to worsen. The problem arose about 4 years ago and continues to worsen -- more so over the last year. I've owned the vehicle for almost 10 years and take meticulous care of it. I've kept up with all maintenance and always purchase the best quality replacement tires. Now the vehicle is so unstable with any minimal road bumps or even slightly uneven surfaces at speeds greater than 35 mph. SUV loses it's "grip" with the road, especially concerning if making a turn at the same time. There have been times when making a slight curve at highway speeds, that we hit a tiny uneven road patch, where the vehicle slides to the opposite direction where we're trying to turn. Have take vehicle a couple of times to the dealer. Each time they come up empty -- the last time they replaced the bushings at a heft cost, yet the problem persists. This is a dangerous problem and will only be a matter of time before an accident occurs. Dealer is not offering much help. Today's service rep indicated he felt the steering did not "feel right. ".

I read that there have been 3-4 recalls on my mercedes which we bought brand new and I have never received notifications.
The contact owns a 2013 mercedes-benz Ml350. The contact stated when first starting the vehicle and placing it into drive (d) the vehicle would not accelerate past 15 mph. The contact stated that she would depress the accelerator and the vehicle would not speed up beyond 15 mph. The contact pulled over, stopped and turned the vehicle off and on and finally was able to finally resume normal operation. The contact stated that a "vehicle with a curvy line" was illuminated. The contact stated that the issue had started as an intermittent failure but had soon become a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, who diagnosed that oil had leaked out from the oil reservoir cap and had damaged the alternator. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 18v272000 (suspension). The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

Second year of this same complain. The dealership I bought the car from mention that the mercedes should be taking care of my issues. But that isnt happening. Mercedes just wants to keep charging me . I look up the defects of the car and it tells me exactly the same problem I am having.

Too all there has not been an accident my my compliant is I bought the above mentioned vehcile from the richmond va carmax and has been back several times and even spoke with the store manager scott and the region manager whom was very nasty to be about the problem with this vehcile and to have me keep coming back over 5 times in just two months and still have not fixed the problem. I recently saw the special that 60 minutes had about your fradulent activities from your. I now understand why I have a vechile that is not perforeming for the money I spent. I called on serveral occaison and spoke with the region manager his name escapes me but I believe it's mr. Fist or something pretty close. I called in enough time to do the buy back but he insist they would take care of it and then when it was not resolved he then mention it was past the buy back time, yes he pulled a quick one on me and I told him it was bought to his attention before the buy back time but he stated it was the date we were speaking going forward and if he took it back I would lose quite a bit. I'm so unhappy but I truly see why people have put your company on blast. The 60 minute story is exactly what I experienced. The only pleasant experience was with patrick my sales person and he knew you guys had gave me a bad deal and his hands were tied. I was actually there when he tired to help me but he later told me his job was on the line. I will be contacting the bbb to see what my options are. I will also plan to have the carfax because the one that was provided I do not beleive is accurate. I beleive that vehcile has been involved in some type of collison. Another thing that 60 minutes pointed out about your company. I'm waiting on better buiness to contact me. One thing for sure is that I will never buy from carmax again.

This vehicle has had nothing but problems. At around 32,000 it needed transmission repair. Unfortunately it was past the three year offered warranty. At around 45,000 miles, I was told that it needed new shocks. All of the repair men that I spoke with could not believe that this vehicle would need suspension work at such low mileage. After reading these posts, it is clearly a defect in the suspension. Meanwhile, I went through another set of tires because I am still waiting to repair the suspension. I guess I can wait no longer and will need to come out of pocket again. This vehicle has been a nightmare and based on this experience, I will never buy another mercedes.
