"takata recall" for a year and a half, I have been trying to have my car repaired, but Mercedes Benz here in reno (and fairfield, California as well) has refused to repair it with the statement that parts are not available. I have called the service department and been told the parts are in stock. I have made appointments, but when I show up for the repair, I am told parts are not available. This month, June 4, 2019, I showed up for an appointment made in connection with the recall notice and was told the parts were not available. On June 14, I had an appointment in fairfield, California; I showed up; and again was told no parts are available. I had another appointment on June 24; but again, I received a call from v. Cruz of Mercedes Benz and told no parts are available. This process has been going for a year and a half. Of late, I have received e-mail notices (second notice, recall reminder, third notice, recall reminder) of which I have made appointments (as described above) but only to be turned away with the statement, no parts are available. It is very disheartening to know there is a dangerous condition in my car that could injure my grandchildren or loved ones and to be subject to the kind of games that Mercedes Benz seems to be playing. On one hand, they send out notices as if they are doing all they can to take care of the recall problem; but on the other hand, they consistently do nothing. I would like to know my options. How serious is the recall? am I placing my grandchildren and loved ones at risk? please let me know. And thank you in advance for giving this matter your attention.

Tl takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 mercedes-benz R350. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v081000 (air bags). An unknown dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall remedy remains unavailable. Letters from Mercedes Benz claimed that the remedy would be available in June 2018. Well, they first said March 2018, then said that was an error. Thinking is hard. It is June 2018, and no remedy. Mercedes continues to produce and earn money on tens of thousands of vehicles each month. They could not be inconvenienced to produce parts for their old buckets of junk that may save customers' lives. This is mercedes after all. A cold actuarial calculation of delaying this recall so that some of the cars are salvaged versus any lawsuits resulting from injured customers. Mercedes, I hope that your abysmal approach to making and standing behind vehicles is exposed. We will never buy another of this make. Nhtsa, you continue to be one of the lowest performing government agencies in the history of humanity. Congratulations. How does it feel to capitulate to automakers' every whim at the expense of american lives? I hope that it does not feel good, or at least that you feel something.
I have been receiving safety recall notices from Mercedes Benz several time in the past 6 months. Each time that I call Mercedes Benz of south bay in torrance, CA, they tell me that they don't have the part. Since the safety recall is about the air bags, it is really important that they get fixed. I am really frustrated, can you help me. VIN #: 4jgcb65e59a092580.

Takata recall. 24 months after the initial recall, we still have shrapnel in our dash. Mercedes claims a fix is coming soon and that NHTSA granted them an extension to complete a final remedy. Notably, mercedes has been able to manufacture hundreds of thousands of new vehicles in those 24 months, but they cannot manufacture replacement airbags? NHTSA is weak and ineffectual. Mercedes is apathetic and criminal. I am certain their actuarials calculated the cost benefit of a delayed recall r pair and presented the board with the least expensive path forward. Criminal. Evil. Unrestrained.
Takata recall.
Takata recall manufacturer advised me of the defect in may 2016. The letter advised it would take some time to design and ultimately replace the defective part. No further notices have been received with a solution after more than 18-months. No accidents or collisions have occurred to test the bag effectiveness.
Takata recall twenty-two months and counting!! manufacturer has not produced replacement parts, and recall cannot be completed due to unavailable remedy. Interesting that Mercedes Benz has continued to produce and sell millions of vehicles in that time, but they cannot produce new airbags.
Takata recall - airbag fix has yet not been made available and the company has declared bankruptcy, I'm clueless on who is going to fix the airbags.
"takata recall" still awaiting repair of driver frontal airbag NHTSA recall # 16v081 Mercedes Benz keeps telling me they don't have the part to make the repair.

Takata recall: this vehicle was involved in a recall campaign for over 12 months and was never repaired due to lack of available parts. The NHTSA VIN lookup tool now lists no active recall on the vehicle. Why not? when will parts be available? how could ke this possibly be taking so long? perhaps it been so long that NHTSA's long-term memory has failed.
Takata recall I received a post card in the mail from tk holdings stating to contact the dealer for a free repair. I have contacted the dealer and they state that the airbags are on back order. The issue is not being resolved in a timely manner.
Takata recall, no remedy from mercedes as of yet.
I received a "takata recall" notice almost 2 years ago alleging that my current airbag can cause serious bodily injury, harm or death. I've repeatedly tried to contact Mercedes Benz to replace my airbag as instructed from previous notifications and every single time, I'm told that the parts for my car are not yet available. Will they become available after I die or get seriously injured in an accident????.
Takata recall. Vehicle recall remedy taking excessive amount of time. No remedy available, no accountability available, no non-bankrupt parts supplier available, and no action by NHTSA available. Time to hold daimler benz responsible for this nonsense.
Tl takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 mercedes-benz R350. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v081000 (air bags). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called mercedes-benz of denver (located at 940 s colorado blvd, denver, CO 80246, (303) 953-4581) and was informed that the part was not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall. I checked my VIN immediately following the announcement of the takata recall in 2016, and found that my car is impacted by this recall. I then contacted the local mercedes dealer to schedule the airbags replacement, but was advised that they will contact me once they receive the replacement air bags. I kept checking with them every 3 months, but received the same response. I just received a notice that takata filed recently for chapter 11 in the us. I would like to understand file a complaint against Mercedes Benz USA for neglecting to replace the airbag in my car, and force the company to replace the air bag free of charge as part of this recall,.

There is a recall notice Feb 11, 2016 and to date I have not =been contacted about replacement of the defective air bag. What do I do.
We received a recall in February 2016 and still there are no replacements available. Why send a recall with no possible resolution? I guess we just cross our fingers and hope?.
Takata recall #16v081 mfg recall #2016020003 recall date Feb 11,2016 my wife is the primary driver of this vehicle, and I have great fear for her safety every time she gets behind the wheel. Please advise when this will be remedied.
Takata recall we have been notified in February of 2016 and it is now November of 2016 and still no parts. We can't sell the car because I don't want to pass the problem onto another person and mercedes won't give us a loaner so we have a potential risk. Telling us that it is a minimal risk doesn't help. This is beyond irresponsible! can you please advise.
Hissing noise, leaning to the right passenger side, power window bottons are break easily, emergency brake handle came off/break easily, and trunk stopped working. If this vehicle lean more low to the ground, this could cause serious accident. This is not safe to drive, do not put your children in this type of vehicle. We regreted getting this vehicle. People do your research, this vehicle is expensive to fix. Too many defects! it's horrible!.
I had just arrived at church and noticed the car leaning to the right side. I ignored it at first thinking maybe the driveway was uneven. When I got ready to leave my boyfriend pointed it out to me that the truck was leaning to the right. I took it to a shop to be checked out and they couldnt figure it out. There was no message regarding anything on the message board except service c was so many miles overdue. Called mercedes and they told me rear air bag. Cost would be around $1600. Cant understand why the dealer would not put a recall fir this problem.
The car rises up on one side when put thrust he computer no error code comes up . After a day or so sitting in the garage gets back to normal. Got it checked by mechanic no leaks . Then happened again they reset the computer charged me . Happened once again this time they changed the computer and the car showed airbag leaking. Car is out of warranty . Looked up on line mostly everyone who owns this car has this problem. This car has lot of issues. It stopped in middle of road on high way I was luckily saved but they said a shaft ring broke in the engine I had to pay $2000. 00 dollars . Mercedes should recall r 350 for suspension leaks.
I just bought this car in October, 2012. One morning I noticed that it was leaning on the right passenger side. I took it back to the dealership I bought it from. They stated that it was the air bags??/suspension? their mechanic supposedly fixed it! on 1/4/2013, I noticed that it was leaning again on the right passenger side. I have contacted a mercedes dealership and they stated that these cars have problems with airmatic and suspension. Why are there no recalls for this? the cost to fix at mercedes dealership is over 1,500 dollars!.
