The brake fluid lines are corroding much faster than in other models, and without actual corrosion under the car. It happened to my car, and I have been reading forums of mb owners of this same r model, as well as c, e, glk, and ml models all reporting the same issues. The lines corroding earlier to due to the brake boost system failure and other fluids/air entering the system is the most consistent cause of brake line failure I was able to get off the internet, as well as mb not using lines with proper material. The only thing I know is that the lines are not supposed to fail this early and this bad. It happened while driving north on [xxx] in NY information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I called the dealership to schedule the appointment. They told me they have no appointment available for next 3 weeks and even I wait for that long they will not be able to provide me a loaner car. The total job time is 4-6hrs I am not willing to wait that long. This dealership was not helpful at all in-spite of this is a very serious safety concern. Stop drive remedy. Worst customer service for the brand we have.

Hi I received a letter from mercedes for a stop drive recall (NHTSA #22v315, mbusa 2022050014 & 2022050015), so I bought my mercedes R350 to the shop for repair on July 15, 2022. Mercedes benz of pleasanton (925463-2525) claimed that brake booster parts were not available at that time and I couldn't drive the car, so they left the car at the shop waiting for the parts to become available. Later on when I called, the service rep claimed the parts had been ordered so kept my car in their lot (since July 15, 2022) since then, I have been on the rental car (that I am still paying for) and I reached out to them multiple times and couldn't get a status update from them, nor schedule for my car return. I hope NHTSA can help me to receive an update of my recalled vehicle, and their solution. I don't know how long do I need to use rental car. I would like to file an official complaint to Mercedes Benz USA. They don't seem to know how to handle their own recall. Thank you in advance. I have tried, since 730 this morning to find out what can be done with regard to the recall of my car. I contacted my dealer - faulkner mercedes in doylestown. . . . Who explained that they couldn't do anything, as they have neither the tools nor the parts to address this issue, and won't have for quite some time, and that I needed to call the mercedes recall hotline. Which, I did. While on hold for about 40 minutes to get through to someone, they took my information and told me that there was nothing that could be done, because the "recall hadn't been launched yet" and that it would be a few weeks before I'd get a letter in the mail telling me what I needed to do. This is absurd. First off, most people will give up and not wait on hold and keep driving, and second, I need my car, as do the other 292,000 drivers - and these people can't wait weeks to get a letter. Most will have no alternative but to drive them while waiting for mercedes to address this problem. Mercedes needs to provide loaner cars, and needs to do so, immediately.
The contact owns a 2010 mercedes-benz R350. The contact stated while driving 5 mph, the vehicle made a squishing an abnormal knocking sound. The contact stated that as the speed increased to 15-20 mph, the issue ceased. The contact stated that upon driving for an extended period, the brake pedal became stiff. The brake warning light was illuminated. The contact later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 22v315000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the dealer declined to honor the recall repair because the original brake booster had been replaced by the previous owner. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the dealer needed to complete the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
I drove to work with no problems. However; returning I started car and could hear a slight sound. I immediately noticed that the car rising sign was illuminated and I waited for car to rise. The car failed to rise and was sitting so low to tires that I could not drive and had to be towed home. At home I tried again to see if car would rise and again it failed. In addition to the abs break sign being illuminated as well. The message on dash stated to contact dealership for service. My mileage is at132,051.

Every time I braked, car not stop until very close to the car in front of me. Couples time I hit the car in front of me. Sometime I have to slam the brakes very hard, but the car still move forward.
Mercedes 2006 when I brake the car will keep going. Sudden acceleration. This has happen twice and I have not owned the car for a year. I could kill someone. Took it to dealer and three different shops and no one knows what I'm talking about help.
I drove up a 6000' high mountain, pulled over onto a wide flat pulloff sat there for 20 minutes, then restarted the car and had no brakes. My foot went to the floor. I had not used the brakes on the way up the mountain because the road was steeply uphill. I tried turning the car on and off several times and still no brakes. I waited about 20 minute and tried again, still had no brakes. There were 3 of us in the car, and we managed to get a ride several miles down and called a tow truck. I t took about 4 hours for them to arrive. I tried the brakes again, and still had none. After it was towed to a repair shop, approximately 5 hours after the initial problem, I still had no brakes. This happened on a Saturday night. On Monday, the brakes had pumped back up. I had it towed to penske mercedes dealership. They tested-brakes,fluids etc. And could find no problem. They balked at driving it up the mountain, but finally said they did do it, and the brakes were fine. This all happened over 3 weeks ago. I have spoken with 3 levels of authority at the dealer, and they insist there is no problem, and I should pick the car up or have it towed away, or pay them a $25 per day storage fee. I also called the 800 number for mb corporate, and have never received a call back. The dealer said they were contacted by corporate mb and told which tests to perform, and they told them they had already done those same tests and the car passed them all. Mercedes corporate then told them to tell me the car was fine. And I should pick it up. This is the second time I've had the same failure, also at the same altitude;however the first time, after turning the car off for a few minutes, the brakes were back up and usable. Just because the car passes their tests does not mean there is no problem-it simply means they have no test capable of discovering the cause. Must I die before they repair the car? I was going to make u-turn at the pull-off. We're alive because I didn't get that far.
: the contact stated while driving for an extended period of time, there was a tapping noise from the engine compartment area. The vehicle was seen by a dealer for inspection who determined there was a problem with the fuel injection system and this was replaced. Afterwards, while applying brake pressure at various speeds the vehicle rolled backwards, but was not placed in reverse. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer who determined the brakes were normal.
