Two problems related to paint have been reported for the 2000 Mercedes Benz S500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driver side bottom carriage and up/paint is peeling and rusting.
The bottom of all the 4 doors are rusting out. There are other places on the body that the paint is bubbling and starting to rust also. This car has been garage kept every year that I have had it. I bought it in 2000 and have had it ever since. I have had several mercedes previously and never had the paint fail.
