One problem related to carrier/rack has been reported for the 2011 Mercedes Benz S550. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have 20 inch wheels on the car and in three years I have had three wheels crack. To date no accidents have occurred but I am afraid of a catastrophic wheel failure at 75 miles per hour.
