My vehicle is listed in this mercedes recall campaign bulletin, and it is also experiencing the safety issue that is discussed in this recall campaign bulletin: campaign no. 2021070010, August 2021 revision a 09/03/2021 when I contact mercedes to have the issue addressed, they stated my VIN is not a part of this recall campaign, and to contact you about it.

The driver side reader door can be opened when the door is locked. The door can be inspected on request. The risk is that the door can be opened when the door is indicated as locked. There are no lights to the contrary. The car is inspected by mercedes dealer at mcfarland in georgia. See mercedes recall campaign 2018010009, March 2018.

There is an active recall on the 2015 mercedes S550 for the front stationary sunroof panel however my vehicle is not part of the recall due to the VIN#. Regardless the front stationary sunroof panel on my vehicle has failed and risks coming off while driving which could come into impact with another vehicle.

The vehicle panoramic sunroof came across a discrepancy that can damage the owner and other innocent vehicles on the road. Since it has been stuck on one side it can possibly break and fly off. The vehicle has been recalled, unfortunately my vehicles VIN number was not chosen although it has the similar problems that the recall vehicles had. The front roof panel located between the windshield and the panoramic sunroof may not have been bonded correctly to the vehicle during a prior repair. The adhesive bonding of the front panel might deteriorate, possibly causing the front panel to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

I brought a car from a car dealer in tampa florida and when I got the car I noticed that the car would not pickup speed after pressing the gas pedal and it was asking me to turn off the engine or it will fail . Also when I tried to put in coolant. I seen a milky substance that was coming out of the hoses and in the overflow tank of the coolant reservoir which indicates issues with the heads or head gasket . Also the title I got says salvaged which I asked if there was anything wrong with the car and the car dealer told me no . Never disclosing that the car has been salvaged . There are other issues with the car that I forget because of so many issues with the car that I cant keep up with and I want to return the car to the car dealer and get my money back and have tried but they refuse to make good on the sale.

I woke up one morning and was astounded to find a long diagonal crack across the panoramic sunroof of my 2016 mercedes-benz S550. I contacted mercedes and was told to bring the car to a dealership for evaluation to determine whether this was due to outside influence or a manufacturer's defect. They determined that it was a "stress crack" and stuck me with a bill for $13,000. This is a 2016 model car with 50k miles on it with a sunroof that spontaneously cracked. What if my wife and young children were in the car when it started to crack? the response from mercedes is unacceptable. This is a very dangerous manufacturer's defect which must be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt.

Iabout 2 months ago, I was unable to start my car. It had a warning message �services required. Do not shift the gear�. We towed our car to the dealer and learned that the backseat flood had standing water! this caused the electronic shortage. We paid over $2000 to make the car running again. It looks that the rain got in through driver side back window because of the sealing problems. It rained last night. I just looked at my car. The back floor likes river again. I am unable to start the car again. Now we feel that this car is very unsafe. We do not know when the rain will get into the car to cause the electronic problems. We are afraid that we may be trapped in a flood if we drive it in the rain� we contacted the dealer last month to ask them to recall this car and find the reason for this leaking. They told us to pay all the costs. We did not accept because this is obviously a manufacture defect! we are seeking your help to solve this issue because this leaking may cause many electric problems that has make this car unable to drive. My wife was driving my 2015 Mercedes Benz s-550 on the 14th of August, 2019. She had stopped at a red light and when it turned green crossed a 6 lane intersection. She was moving through the intersection when she was hit by a vw passet who ran the red light at an estimated 40 to 50 mph. The passet hit dead center on the b pillar between the doors on the passenger side of the mercedes. All air curtains and a rear seat air bag deployed on the unoccupied passenger side of the car, none deployed to protect driver's head abeam the b pillar. . My wife's head whipped violently to the right towards the crash, then whipped back violently to the left hitting the large seat belt retractor protrusion built into the b-pillar. She was briefly unconscious and suffered a severe concussion and maybe more as medical tests are still on going. In addition, she suffered 4 herniated discs in her neck, 2 severe. She also suffered an acute herniated disc in her lower back as well as now has some tmj issues with her jaw and has to wear a mouthpiece to sleep. No air bags or side air curtains deployed on the drivers side of the car, that would have helped protect her head and likely lessened the side to side whiplash causing the herniated disc issues. When I called Mercedes Benz to inquire why no drivers side air curtains or air bags deployed, I received a letter back saying they were not designed to deploy in this case the car, was a total loss with a $65,000 settlement check. Mb is saying only the side curtains on the side the crash occurred deploy in this case protecting no one. At this high rate of speed, with mb stating in a letter that the car's air bag preformed as programmed, I think there is a major safety flaw that likely has caused other serious injuries or death.

Takata recall. I was driving on the highway on my way to phoenix az to drop off my mom and grandma when suddenly the sunroof exploded. It sounded like a gun shot. There wasn't any type of object near me to cause it. It was very random. This disturbed my family mentally scaring them and I swerved off the highway almost crashing.

I purchased a new 2014 mercedes S550 and the day after purchase, the airbag malfunction light came on. I set up an appointment to have this corrected, and was told it was fixed. A couple of weeks later, I was traveling at approximately 20mph, approaching an intersection where I did not have a stop sign. I noticed a large SUV traveling east bound at excessive speeds (guessing 35-40), which did not appear to be stopping, but could not stop in time to avoid the collision. The SUV impacted the driver's side of my vehicle at full speed. My vehicle spun and was hit again at the side and rear driver's side. I was pushed over the curb and into a snow bank where I eventually stopped after hitting the yield sign. I was trapped in my vehicle as I had carved thru the snow and all doors were blocked. The damage to the vehicle was on the driver's side front, side and back. The hit was hard enough to cause frame damage to the vehicle, needing frame repair. There were no airbags deployed during the crash and given the previous malfunction with the airbag system, this was a major concern for me. I notified Mercedes Benz of the issue, and it wasn't until several requests that they responded. They sent someone to the body shop to look at the car and confirmed there is frame damage; however, stated it was not hard enough of a hit to trigger airbag deployment. I have a hard time understanding how it can be hard enough to cause frame damage yet not trigger airbag deployment? this is a completely redesigned vehicle and mine was one of the first on the road. I am fearful that this is a larger issue that is not being addressed, or uncovered, since this is a recently released model. As a result of the impact, I sustained injuries to my neck, back and left elbow. I am hoping this could get address to avoid future injuries, or death, to other drivers and passengers. Thank you.
