Vehicle's body movement or damping motion while traveling on highway responds awkwardly. The vehicle has a waddle or a side to side motion instead of an up/down motion while traveling over the highway at 60 mph. My initial thoughts were to replace the vehicle's (air ride) struts. I chose to have mercedes-benz of tyler analyze the vehicle ride problems which at that time involved the self -leveling adjustment (up/down) of the vehicle. Mercedes-benz of tyler determined and replaced the air compressor and valve block at 61,000 miles on March 16, 2023 to resolve the problem. Although no recalls were found for this vehicle, I've spoken with other owners who own s-class vehicles and discovered NHTSA campaign I. D. 08v405000 with a report date August 01, 2008 was issued. I believe this vehicle should have been included in that campaign. This vehicle has not been in an accident nor do I want to be. I'm seeking resolution to this problem prior to an accident or injury occurs.
The vehicle dropped at front axle areas on both sides. The next message stated "vehicle to low". Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Could not drive regular speed limit almost got rear ended. Reproduced I am not sure, there is however about 3 manufacturer communications on this issue. There have not been any inspections relating to this issue with insurance. The manufacturer mercedes previously inspected and replaced several issues relating to suspension on this vehicle type. There are at least 40-60 product model vehicle types that have this issue. The vehicle I drive is one of them. The warning lamp came on when starting the car, the front end did not rise as it was expected to , warning lamp stated vehicle level too low.

Struts and braking system have been unstable since I purchased the car. Wiring harness leaks oil and caused ecu to intermintinli turn off and on. Also the heat control timing caused car to over heat . Eventually I replaced the ecu 2 years ago at dealer . Mercedes has parts that are not safe to be in these operating conditions with such heat causeing wiring harness to short out and dealer said that and still put new ecu saying it was oil that damaged ecu. Mechanicly didn’t make sense but now due to recall it all makes sense. Ecu was never programmed correctly causeing unsafe driving hazards .
Advised by service advisor need to replace me control unit(ecm), costing $2,000. 82. Less than 5 years ago suspension costing 2,000. All work done at Mercedes Benz of south orlando.

Error code p0019 cam sensor bank b, manufacturers used defective part that timing sprocket teeth have eroded due to defective parts used which have and will cause vehicle to stahl while running. Both front struts wear on all models that cause driving conditions that can cause death while driver excelration or stopping cause.
I had to replace both front air shocks around 90,000 miles. No off road driving. Both air struts leaked within 4 months . Suspension warning light cane on first. Then a message to stop the car and not operate.

The contact owns a 2007 mercedes-benz S550. After pressing the button to lift the vehicle's suspension, a malfunction warning indicator suddenly illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (Mercedes Benz of south orlando located in orlando, florida) where it was diagnosed that the air suspension system failed and needed to be replaced. My S550 when driving would suddenly give a malfunction signal. I took it to the dealer, service replaced the 2 front struts. Now the call will give a signal, red letters, "do not move car" and the entire strut system will stop working and the car body is virtually sitting atop the tires. This after replacing the 2 front struts! the dealership seems to be at a loss and I can't even get them to return my calls. I don't think it is a strut problem but a computer glitch. I don't think it was necessary to pay for the strut replacement. I would like my car fixed or a refund.
The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes Benz S550. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v608000 (suspension). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
I had a 2007 S550 as I am going 70 miles per hour on a busy 405 freeway. And suddenly my vehicle front suspension full hard to the right almost collided with the vehicle on my right lane. But thank to the quick action of the driver on my right lane (he quickly change to the next lane when he saw my vehicle too close to his vehicle). If he not quickly changed to the next lane I am sure there is a multiple vehicle accident because it happen so quickly by the time I am reacted to control the vehicle, my vehicle already in his lane. I am used the emergency lane to get off the freeway at 5 mile per but my front suspension is moving up and down uneven like you are driving on uneven pavement. I had my vehicle tow to the dealer. And they are diagnosis with: code 5200 b24/3 (left front body acceleration sensor): signal implausible this is the same problem that my friend S550 had before but mercedes dealer recall campaign no. 2008080004. I had been show the recall letter to the service writer. After she check my VIN number and she said there is no recall for my vehicle. What can I do to have my vehicle fix under the recall campaign ? the part number need to be replace is : 004 542 35 18 if you are need any more information, I will try my best to provide it. Thank.
