Air Bag Problems of Mercedes Benz SL500

Vehicle has approx. 209k miles. Sunday 1/19/20 driving wb on montauk highway (nys 27a?) at quogue NY. Speed approx. 35-40 mph. Slight turn/bend in road to the right. Sunny, dry pavement. No other cars following or ahead, either direction. Very loud bang heard inside cabin, both seatbelts immediately tightened and both driver and passenger felt strong air blast; that each described as being hit in chest. Sound/airblast followed immediately by a burning/gunpowder smell and slight white smoke in cabin. Srs light on dashboard went on. Pulled to side of road and observed no objects in road behind vehicle. Also, no potholes or road defects, only smooth pavement. No damage to front or side of vehicle observed. Passenger side seatbelt retracted but locked. Driver's seatbelt retracted and functioned after incident. Assumed both airbags (driver and passenger ) activated but did not deploy. Car was driven home with srs light and non working passenger seatbelt. Mb dealer service dept. (huntington mb) denies this could have happened (airbag activation and/or no deployment). Says probably seatbelt.

Car can hardly run--without stalling-hard to start mercedes dealer said to sell it because of wiring problems.

"takata recall" 1. The total body of my 2004 sl Mercedes Benz suddenly collapsed without warning to within 3 inches from hi-way while traveling approximately 50 miles an hour causing the wheels to drag against the undercarriage and damage to front bumper preventing me me to steer freely while fluid from the ruptured abc valve line apparent sprayed on to the engine. The red abc light came on saying stop to low to drive followed by red srs light (safety restaint syatem/ air bags).

Suspension drops overnight and has dropped while in motion on the expressway. Red warning to limit speed constantly comes on especially if low on fluid and on bumps. The dealer cannot isolate the cause of pressure or excessive hydraulic fluid leaks. Front bumper damaged as a result. Over $8000. 00 spent and problem not resolved. No confidence in the car unless the supply of fluid is carried in the car at all times. Dealer wanted $16,000. 00 to diagnose and possibly repair but offered no warranty for work.

Abc and convertible are not functioning as its supposed, while the car not benn dring nor using the features. The keyless remote key entry is not working!.
