One problem related to windshield wiper/washer has been reported for the 1997 Mercury Cougar. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wipers do not not clear the entire window. They do not go all the way to the left, causing poor visibility. Consumer also obtained six stitches to the head from the design of the sunvisor being supported by a vertical rod instead of a horizontal one.
