Two problems related to underhood wiring have been reported for the 1999 Mercury Cougar. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There was a recall for wiring harness. Wiring harness shorted out whole brake light system. Dealer only replaced wiring harness. Consumer feels dealer should have replaced brake light harness, and brake module. Please provide any further information.
1. Part within transmission was missing 2. Faulty airbag sensor is blinking indicating a defect 3. Wiring harness melted, possible fire hazard. Please provide any further information.
