Car Stall problems of the 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis

Two problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 02/20/2001

Vehicle stalls, mostly while making turns at slow speeds. Dealer feels cause is overfilling of fuel filler neck. Dealer replaced filler pipe, however consumer states vehicle is still stalling.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 06/26/2000

While driving about 20 mph vehicle stalled. There was no power steering and brakes, vehicle is at repair shop for the fourteenth time.
