Four problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When operating vehicle at approximately 35 mph or over, , preparing to stop , brakes will begin to vibrate, heavier vibration when driving at a faster speed.
The vehicle drifts to the left while driving and constant steering pressure to the right must be maintained, dearler has rotated the tires and rebuilt the front and rear brakes but the vehicle seems to be irrepairable.
Brakes failed.
Brakes repaired at 13000 miles, due to failure.
