Two problems related to defogger heater have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1997 Mercury Grand Marquis has 21,000 miles. The air blend door has broken causing no warm air to vehicle interior and a constant clicking noise behind the instrument panel. There is no warm air to defrost the windshield causing a visual safety hazard.
While driving 55 mph consumer noticed smoke coming from under the hood. Dealer determined the plastic intake manifold had cracked, causing all coolant to leak from vehicle. Ts.
