Two problems related to fuel injection have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Plastic manifold failed. Has been replaced on cop cars with a redesigned part. Ford should replace the part at no charge. Nlm.
Ford was contacted and was not helpful. $893 replacement cost for a manufacturing defect isnt fair. Manufacturer acknowledges defect but wont offer help. No safety defect mentioned.
