Four problems related to tire have been reported for the 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl the contact owns a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis equipped with firestone fr380 tires, size: p225/60r16. The contact stated that the tires had premature blisters and tread deterioration. The tire repair facility (firestone complete auto care, 4401 n first Ave, evansville, in 47710, (812) 618-3542) diagnosed that the tires needed to be replaced. The tire manufacturer indicated that a similar tire model had been recalled, but not this particular model. The manufacturer recommended that the tires be inspected by an authorized firestone complete auto care facility. The tire and vehicle failure mileage and VIN were not available.
Michelin tire (p255/60 r16) failed. Yh.
Tires failed, one tire was so bad you could feel it slip in a left turn on the highway, replace tire 3 times, told vehicle needed to be balanced, replace right front tire, this resolved the slip on the left turn, left front tire pull to the left. P225/60 trx16 all seas.
The tire noise is so loud that consumer would not hear an emergency vehicle siren while driving (michelin p225/60r16 97s m+s symmetry xgreen all season at 35psi).
